Delgani’s season finale, Far From Home, explores displacement and the hardships and inspirations it can bring. Didgeridoo master and audience favorite Stephen Kent returns to perform Peter Sculthorpe’s String Quartet No. 16, which reflects on the plight of Afghan refugees in Australia and the harsh conditions they endured. Dvořák’s American Quartet, written during his time abroad, is a joyful celebration of the Czech composer’s deep love for America and its folk music.
