In a landmark partnership, Fear No Music Ensemble, Chatter PDX, the Delgani Quartet, and Portland Fruit Tree Project announce a call for community contributions in support of their bold new project: A Year of Trees.

The project will bring together composers, poets, musicians, and environmental experts from the PNW for the world premiere of 12 new works for string quartet by Portland-based artists—kicking off a year of performance-activation events around the country.

The commissioned composers are Kenji Bunch, William Campbell, Ryan Francis, Cynthia Gerdes, Darrell Grant, Nancy Ives, Stephen Lewis, Lisa Neher, Kimberly R. Osberg, Judy A. Rose, James T. Shields, and Bora Yoon.
